ABA Services

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the process of systematically applying interventions to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree (Baer, Wolf & Risley, 1968.) In other words, ABA is the application of evidence-based, empirically validated interventions to everyday situations that meaningfully and positively improve the lives of individuals.

ABA has been used to help individuals acquire multiple social significant behaviors, such as language, reading, academics, social skills, play skills, communication, gross and fine motor skills, eating and food preparation, toileting, dressing, personal self-care, domestic skills, time and punctuality, money and value, home and community orientation and work skills. In addition, ABA principles can also help decrease maladaptive behaviors such as aggression, noncompliance, tantrum, self-injurious behavior, and self-stimulatory behaviors.

ABA strongly focuses on parent training and family involvement. Therapy sessions are held in the setting where the individual is struggling the most (I.e. home, school, grandparents' house, recreational facilities, supermarket, etc.)

Finally, ABA is data-driven. Data is collected and analyzed continuously to ensure all individualized goals are being achieved for each client.

Early Intervention Clinic

Our program offers individual and small group intervention from diagnosis through 15-years old. We work with each child on a one-to-one ratio to provide the highest quality of services. Each child is assessed differently, and assistance and intervention(s) are tailored individually. Our primary focus is on cognitive, social-emotional, adaptive, behavioral, motor, and communication skill(s) development within a clinic and school-based environment.  Our early intervention/home therapy will focus on:

Applied Behavioral Analysis Services (ABA)

  • Behavior Reduction

  • Functional and Self living Skills

  • Fundamental Communication

  • PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)

  • Following Classroom routine

  • Expressive and Receptive Language

  • Transitioning

  • Parent Training

  • Social skills

  • Many more!

We also strive to train and educate caregivers on an on-going basis to help understand how treatment works and ensure that progress experienced by the child is maintained across settings. Caregivers will be expected to assume an active role in treatment by participating in mandatory training sessions conducted at our Clinic.

In-Home ABA Services

At Evolving Minds Together, we work hard to achieve your child’s highest potential. We use the scientifically proven principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis to teach children to communicate effectively, play functionally, socially engage appropriately, and, most importantly, live independently. We use the same principles to reduce maladaptive behaviors such as tantrums, aggression, disobedience, and self-injurious behaviors.

Each treatment is individualized to meet the specific needs of your child whether it’s at home or out in the community.  We also encourage, train, and guide parents and families to help their children through life’s challenges and achieve success.

Through the delivery of effective, evidence-based high-quality behavioral services, our goal is to provide therapeutic services to enhance children’s learning, reduce maladaptive behaviors to a minimum, and take each child to his or her maximum potential.

AfterCare ABA Program

Our aftercare program is developed for children up to 10 years of age who would benefit from a small group setting with direct instruction. Using ABA therapy techniques, our team will help each child improve social skills, communication, gain independence and improve academics.

We work with each child on a one-to-one ratio to provide the highest quality of services. Our daily schedule will give them many opportunities to explore, experiment, and develop problem-solving skills.

Social Skills

Like many other skills, social skills for children with developmental disabilities need to be taught directly.

At Evolving Minds Together, we use Applied Behavior Analysis to teach and guide social interaction so as to establish and maintain friendships.

Parent Training Sessions

The parent-training component in ABA might be the most important factor in your child’s long-term success. Parent training will assist the parent(s) to reduce problematic behavior and identify appropriate replacement behavior(s.)

Benefits of parent training include: increasing your child’s functional communication skills, promoting independence, decreasing problem behavior(s), increasing appropriate behavior(s), consistency, increasing independent living skills, and compliance. Parent training sessions will consist of weekly meetings to go over different topics and techniques and will include a community outing where parents get the chance to apply what has been learned.

Behavioral Consulting

We offer services to community care, residential facilities, and schools via the framework of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Our purpose is to teach new skills to teachers, caregivers, and other professionals to effectively educate, integrate and support individuals.

Parent Support & Social Skills Group

For many parents whose child is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), it can seem overwhelming and the future may appear questionable. Families with a child on the spectrum are faced with a unique and challenging journey, and at Evolving Minds Together we understand the importance of support and training through each new stage you encounter. We want you to know you are not alone in this journey and would encourage you to join our parent support group. Over the course of 5 weeks, we will be offering a safe space to provide tools, experiences and support.

Along with the support group we will be having a social skills group for your child to take that opportunity to strength their ability for meaningful social relationships.

In the Social Skills Group we cover skills like greeting  peers and adults, initial social interaction with peers, sharing with peers, taking turns, join attention, and cooperative play.

Feeding Therapy/Feeding Intervention

We have created a feeding intervention program that targets children who show signs of food selectivity. The program is designed to expand their food repertories, quantity, texture, color, and other food-related problems. Picky eating primarily raises concerns for parents when the child does not receive the proper nutrients the body requires.

Research demonstrates- the effectiveness of early intervention for food problems. Food selectivity often doesn’t resolve itself without intervention.

At Evolving Minds Together, we focus on providing the training and education to help kids overcome these challenges and find their food independence.
